FAQ Is
there any question from you? The most common
subjects are covered as follows: Smiling when you sing not only lights up your face and helps audience enjoy your performance, but also adds natural lift to your voice. For beginners, it is usually easier for them to achieve lifting of the voice when they are asked to smile and sing. However, it should progress to the "inner smile", which is really an unseen smile. You should only feel and not see an inner smile. In the beginning, you may need to exaggerate a bit. Eventually, it must be hidden in the general mouth shape itself. The inner smile will make you feel happy and healthy when you are singing. Physical Exercises Swimming is excellent for helping to improve stamina, breathing control and fitness. Like every type of physical exercise you can start slowly and increase the amount you do as your fitness improves. Any aerobic exercise including walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, tennis as these help to develop heart, lung strength and endurance. Co-ordination exercises like Yoga, Tai Chi etc., are good as they help to develop body awareness and aid in relaxation. (Top) Singing Practice It is recommended that for a complete beginner no more than 20 minutes a day including warm up, rests, vocalization and cool down. The amount of practice time should be gradually increased over a period of months according to your capability, the level of experience and, if have, your singing teachers instruction. Never sing if you are ill or suffering with a sore throat. If your voice starts to feel hoarse or sore during your practice session, do not force you to sing. Avoid caffeine, alcohol or acidic drinks like orange – drink between 8-9 pints water a day and keep a supply of water to hand during your practice period.
